“I’m here to lend my voice to the dead.”

- Bill Edger

Hi, I’m Joshua and I am here to help you in a way that you probably didn’t even realise that you have needed help, or maybe you did, but didn’t have anyone to go to. You have family and friends and they are there for you, they support you and give you care, but right now, you need something a little bit outside the box. Maybe there are things you want said, or done, or done on the down low, that you don’t really wish to ask your best friend to do, or worse, your kid.

I have spent over a decade in the events industry, orchestrating my client’s visions, wants and needs. This has always come naturally to me. Then 2020 happened, and all of our lives were turned upside down, we spent more time with ourselves and our life perspectives were changed. I have spent my career helping people, but now I wanted to make a deeper and more positive impact into someone’s life. Like everyone else, I got online and discovered Bill Edgar, aka The Coffin Confessor. Bill recounted a story about his first client and friend, Graham. Graham had been battling cancer and nearing the end of his life. However, during this difficult time, he learned that his best mate had been making advances towards his wife. To cope with this deep betrayal, Bill suggested Graham write, or even record his own eulogy. We all know that many funerals don’t actually comply with these wishes, maybe out of disrespect or maybe just because of the personal preference of the family. Graham knew that there would only be one way to insure that his speech would be carried out, and he knew Bill would do what needed to be done. Bill interrupted the service during this friend’s speech and explained to the congregation that the deceased had something to say….

I couldn’t stop thinking about this, for months. What a gift it would be to truly honour and carry out these requests. I could be there for them, the person that they could trust with absolute certainty, a selfless act, and a service that is no one is offering here in the US.

I am here to provide compassionate care and support during difficult time, inspired by the resilience and strength of the human spirit that I have already seen in so many of my clients.

To quote Bill (again), “I’m here to lend my voice to the dead”.
